Hymenoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to repair or reconstruct the hymen. This thin membrane may tear following sexual intercourse, physical activity, or tampon use. In most cases, psychological support is part of the process. Our team is here to guide you in complete safety.
The price is € 2,000 and includes all medical fees, consultations, and follow-up care. If reconstruction is needed the price will be € 2,500
Hymenoplasty, also known as hymen reconstruction, is a surgical procedure designed to restore or recreate the hymen. This delicate tissue located at the entrance of the vaginal canal may be disrupted by physical activity, intercourse, or other circumstances.
This procedure can meet various needs, whether cultural, religious, or personal. Some patients choose hymenoplasty to return to their original state, to meet societal expectations, or for personal reasons.
The main goal is to reconstruct a hymen with a natural, undetectable appearance. The procedure is also designed to deliver results that align with the patient’s expectations and provide both physical and psychological reassurance.
After a preliminary consultation, the procedure is usually performed under local anaesthesia (dissolvable sutures, temporary version) or under general anaesthesia for a permanent reconstruction (which requires healing and longer-lasting sutures).
Thanks to local anesthesia, the procedure is virtually painless. Mild discomfort or a sensation of tightness may be experienced in the days that follow, but this is usually well managed with prescribed painkillers.
Pain or discomfort for 4 to 5 days, usually well relieved by painkillers; normal bleeding for 3 to 4 days; tiredness for 24 to 48 hours. Complications are rare: heavier bleeding (less than 0.5%), infection (less than 1%).
Initial recovery generally takes a few days; return to work occurs less than a week after the procedure. It is usually recommended to avoid swimming pools, baths and intense exertion for 4 to 6 weeks. Any new sexual intercourse will break the new hymen.
Maintain strict intimate hygiene to avoid infection. Wear comfortable underwear and avoid tight clothing that could irritate the area. Follow your surgeon’s instructions carefully, especially regarding any recommended healing or antiseptic creams.
Mild discomfort or tingling in the treated area is normal and temporary. Prescribed pain relief will help ease any potential discomfort.
Results are visible as soon as the swelling subsides, generally within 7 to 14 days following the procedure. The final appearance of the recreated hymen is natural and undetectable.
No. The sutures used are internal and dissolvable: no mark or scar is visible six weeks after the procedure.
A follow-up appointment is recommended a few weeks after the procedure. During this consultation, the surgeon will check healing progress, answer your questions, and ensure your comfort.
At Brussels Surgical & Aesthetic Center, we guarantee a discreet and respectful environment. All shared information remains strictly confidential, and our team ensures your experience is both serene and private.
Certain conditions may prevent the procedure, such as active genital infections, bleeding disorders, or pregnancy. Your surgeon will assess your overall health to determine whether the intervention is appropriate. There is no alternative to this procedure for reconstructing the hymen.
To promote optimal healing and avoid complications, stop smoking several weeks before and after the procedure. Follow all postoperative instructions carefully and contact your surgeon if you experience prolonged discomfort or have any concerns.
